Jali Kitchen

We had lunch at Jali Kitchen and ordered one mixed plate and one shrimp Pad Thai. Both were delicious, and the juice was fresh They also have many vegan options!

We stumbled upon Jali Kitchen while looking for something a little different, and the menu looked promising enough to take a leap. Glad we did,it didn’t disappoint. Tucked away in a quiet lane near Turtle Beach, Jali Kitchen is a “fusion Asian” spot that pulls influences from Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, and Indian cuisines, along with burgers and sandwiches. What ties it all together is the unmistakable Jali twist—familiar dishes, but done their own way. We ordered the appetiser platter, a bowl of pho, and the butter chicken. The platter and pho were solid and satisfying. The butter chicken, while decent, wasn’t the highlight for me—I’ve had the authentic version far too many times, so this felt more like an adapted take that works for a place like this. Not docking points for it, but the naan could definitely improve, or perhaps shouldn’t be called naan at all. That said, Jali Kitchen is a pleasant change from most of the standard offerings in Gili T and a great option if you’re craving variety and something slightly off the beaten path.

I recently had the pleasure of dining, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! The food was genuinely great, and I particularly recommend trying the Malaysian curry ; it was bursting with flavor. The staff were super friendly , making the whole meal even more enjoyable. Just a heads-up, you might want to consider booking in advance to secure your spot. Overall, it's a place I highly recommend for a delightful meal! Terima kasih!
